Rubric score
We grade your essay on hook, voice, specificity, narrative arc, and reflection — the same criteria admissions officers use.
Line-by-line comments
Where the writing is weak, we mark it. Where it's strong, we tell you why so you can keep it.
Suggested revisions
For the two weakest sections, we suggest a rewritten version you can adapt. You own the voice; we sharpen the craft.
Common pitfalls checked
Generic openings, telling not showing, listing achievements, over-explaining — we flag every one.
No AI-detection risk
We suggest edits — you write the final. Nothing we do triggers AI-detection tools admissions offices use.
One-page action plan
A prioritized 'if you only have 2 hours, do these things' list to level up your essay fast.
Frequently asked
Is this different from your teacher / counselor reading it?▾
Yes — teachers and counselors give feedback on grammar and clarity. We evaluate the essay through an admissions lens: does the hook grab attention in the first 5 seconds? Does the story reveal character? Does the essay differentiate you from 40,000 other applicants? That's what admissions officers look for.
Do you rewrite my essay for me?▾
No — you retain full authorship. We suggest specific improvements, but the words stay yours. Admissions officers are trained to spot ghost-written essays, and if they catch it your application is dead. We're on your side; we protect you from that.
How fast is the turnaround?▾
48 hours from payment. Most essays come back in 24-36 hours during weekdays.
Do you review supplemental essays too?▾
This tier covers one main Common App personal statement (up to 650 words). For supplemental essays (Why This College, prompts specific to each school), we offer a bundle — email us at support@weblabra.com.
What if my essay is still a first draft?▾
Perfect timing. First drafts benefit most from expert critique before you polish. Send us what you have — even a rough sketch — and we'll tell you what's working and what needs a rethink.
What's your refund policy?▾
30-day money-back guarantee. If the feedback isn't useful, reply to the delivery email and we'll refund you $79 — no questions.
